Three Poems
By Noa Bay Goldstein
With Our Tired Frowns
With shaking hands
They held
With starving stomachs
They ate
With aching souls
They moved on
With severed hopes
They dreamt
So maybe
With our tired frowns
We can build this ruin
From the ground
Together We Will Rise
Together we will rise
In our eyes
Is where our greatest hope lies
In our hands
Power beats like a million bands
Through our hair
Runs wind that tells the world “beware”
In our veins
Is blood like the hardest of clay
So won’t you stand with us today
And together we will rise
Blissful Storm
Where ice cream is always open
And the park is always fun
Where the rocks are always perfect
For climbing in the sun
The wind was never howling
And with my comrades, I stayed warm
Everyone was in one place
And there we stood
In our own
Blissful storm
